AUDIOTHERAPY & HEMODIALYSIS
The Means of the AudioTherapy Method
The main goal of the AudioTherapy method in the context of working with hemodialysis patients is the correction of the psychological state.

But why and due to which means does AudioTherapy achieve its goal? What makes it possible to switch the negative state of a patient undergoing hemodialysis into a neutral or positive?

The detailed diagnosis of the psychological state of the patient is the priority. Based on the results obtained, an individual audiotherapeutic trajectory of the patient is formed. Targeted action is achieved through specially organized music playlists, each having its own impact target: relieving anxiety, structuring time, achieving catharsis, reflection and self-regulation. Every playlist considers the musical characteristics of the pieces, focuses on tonality, tempo dynamics, instrumental composition. Also, the musical form, rhythmic pattern, dissonances, consonances and their number, as well as the harmony and cantilency of the work are considered. A playlist is an ordered list of files and implies listening to musical material sequence, including fragments of classical music and sounds of nature.

Assessment of the psychological state of patients, both before and after listening to playlists, is an obligatory stage of every AudioTherapy session, which is necessary to monitor the patient’s condition, if necessary, change the individual route and understand the dynamics of changes in the psychological portrait of the patient.
